The purpose of the Pool is to seek reduction of losses by reason of liability of claims and to reduce the costs of insuring against such claims by participating libraries. Liability for claims is limited to $1,000,000 per occurrence.

Who can join

Any public library, library system or library district within the state of Illinois.

Cost to join

Each member shall pay LIMRiCC Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) for the first year of coverage and Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars($2,500.00) for each year of coverage thereafter.

Possible Claim

Think of JSIP as you would any insurance company.  Contact us with this completed form when there is the first sign of trouble.  We need the information immediately regarding your situation in order to assess the situation and advise you whether or not you have a potential JSIP claim.  Our attorneys will coach you in preparing discharge letters or taking other appropriate steps which will minimize risk to your library and LIMRiCC. 

Limits of Payment for Losses

Payment for Losses are limited to One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) per occurrence. The member is responsible for One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) deductible for each loss occurring from separate claims.

Dividends

Members who have participated for five (5) years shall receive a distribution.  Each additional five years of membership will also result in a distribution.

Cancellation

Notify LIMRiCC in writing of the cancellation date.
