Description: We are looking for a tech-savvy, creative, hardworking individual eager to delve into the world of special libraries. Individual projects can be developed based on the intern's areas of interest. Current library school students and recent graduates encouraged to apply.
Potential Projects: -Collection development -Taxonomy review, authority control work and maintenance of APA's specialized classification system. -Cataloguing and maintenance of APA Publications Abstracts database. -Marketing, analysis, and development of Planners Bibliography Web Tool. -Web 2.0 projects (blogs, RSS feeds, OPAC design, ContentDM)
Degree Required: Library Student
Desired Education Focus: Background or interest in social sciences, urban planning, or related fields a plus.
Paid Position: no
Part time / Full Time: Part Time
Hours: 10-15 hours per week

Description: We are looking for a tech-savvy, creative, hardworking individual eager to delve into the world of special collections for kids. This is a new opportunity to focus on materials APA develops and collects for kids, teachers, and planners who work with youth. Current library students and recent MLS grads are encouraged to apply.
Potential Projects: Projects may include: -Developing a catalog for the Kids Books collection. -Writing book and website reviews and other content for ResourcesZine (an e-newsletter)and blog. -Collection development. -Assisting with website remake.
Degree Required: Library Student
