The MLS Youth Services Advisory Group is a sounding board of members who provide feedback to MLS consultants regarding CE workshop ideas, issues, concerns, and achievements from the larger Youth Services Membership.

MLS Networking Groups for Youth Services
CLASS (Children’s Librarians Association of the South Suburbs)
A forum for MLS public librarians in the southern suburbs of Chicago, providing continuing education through an open avenue of exchange in materials, ideas and programs pertinent to Youth Services and to promote cooperation among public library members. This group currently maintains a Wiki and a Yahoo Group.
NWYS (Near West Youth Services)
A forum for MLS Public Youth Services librarians in the near west suburbs of Chicago, providing an open avenue of exchange in materials, ideas and programs pertinent to Youth Services and to promote cooperation between member public libraries.This group currently maintains a Wiki and a Yahoo Group.
YA SIG (Young Adult Special Interest Group)
A forum for YA librarians at all levels, providing opportunities for sharing ideas, concerns, and success stories with respect to all areas of service to young adults.
Online Communication Among Youth Service Staff
Youthnet
Youthnet is an online forum for discussion among Youth Services librarians about issues in library service to children and young adults in libraries. Youth service library staff in and outside of MLS can subscribe to this mailing list.
NWYS and CLASS Yahoo Group
The NWYS and CLASS Yahoo Group is an online forum for MLS Public Youth Service library staff whose libraries are members of NWYS and CLASS. This online forum supports the current face-to-face meetings of NWYS and CLASS members, by providing an online opportunity to exchange ideas, materials, and programs pertinent to Youth Services and promotes cooperation between MLS public libraries. The NWYS and CLASS Yahoo Group supports three databases containing
performer information, loan able resources for use in MLS YS library departments, and programming / activity ideas and instructions.
