MLS Special Advisory Group
The MLS Special Advisory Group is a representative group of the larger MLS Special Library members, who provide feedback to MLS consultants regarding CE workshop ideas, issues, policies and concerns of special libraries.
MLS Networking Groups for Special Libraries
MLS sponsored Special Library Networking Meetings are offered throughout the year on topics of interest to Special libraries. Members are invited to attend and join in the discussion. Chicago Area Solo Librarians (CASL)
A forum to help colleagues with problem-sharing and problem-solving issues that arise in a solo library environment. The group meets quarterly at member libraries. Chicago Area Museum Libraries (CAML)
A forum for communication and cooperation among Chicago area museum libraries. The group is open to museum librarians, resource center managers, museum collection managers, and related support staff who are responsible for managing the print and electronic resources of a museum library. An email list is maintained by the member contact, Christine Giannoni from the Field Museum at cgiannoni@fieldmuseum.org.

Internship Central
The MLS Internship Central database is an online library internship posting service of available internships in libraries in Illinois. Anyone may search the listing of internships. Illinois libraries who are members of an Illinois library system may apply for an account to post internships.
MLS Special Libraries Mailing List
MLS provides a mailing list for the Special Libraries within the MLS membership. This list is used by both members and the MLS staff to post information of interest to Special Libraries. The Illinois Chapter of the Special Library Association (SLA) provides many opportunities for the Special libraries in Chicago and the surrounding area. Chicago Area Law Libraries
The Chicago Association of Law Libraries (CALL) is a non-profit organization comprised of law librarians and other information professionals in the greater Chicago area. It was formed as a chapter of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) in 1947 to promote librarianship and information services, to develop and increase the usefulness of law libraries and to foster a spirit of cooperation among the members of the profession.
KM Chicago
KM Chicago builds connections between knowledge managers and the communities in which they practice. We present timely Knowledge Management issues, trends and systems. Interactive, open discussion of value and trends is encouraged. Anyone involved with knowledge application or with a strong interest is welcome to participate and join together to form the community. KM Chicago holds regular meetings 2nd Tuesday of each month.
